Mahindra XEV 9e November 2025 Sales Fall to 1,979 Units: 21.3% Drop from October, But Higher-End Packs Outperform Harrier EV Rival

Mahindra's premium electric SUV, the XEV 9e, saw a moderation in sales momentum in November 2025, with wholesale dispatches reaching 1,979 units—a 21.3% decrease from October's 2,514 units. Despite the overall dip, the model maintains robust interest in India's competitive eSUV segment, bolstered by its advanced features, competitive pricing starting at ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and impressive range options up to 656 km (ARAI-certified).

Battery Pack-Wise Sales Breakdown for Mahindra XEV 9e – November 2025

The sales data is segmented by battery capacity, showing a clear preference for the larger pack. Here's the detailed breakdown:

The 79 kWh variants accounted for over 82% of total sales, indicating strong demand for longer-range options with top variants equipped with enhanced features such as advanced ADAS suites (up to 5 radars + 1 camera) and luxury elements like ventilated seats and NFC keys.

Month-Over-Month Decline: Factors Behind the 21.3% Drop

The reduction from October's 2,514 units could be attributed to a rise in demand for lower variants of competitors like the Tata Harrier EV, which saw its overall sales climb to 2,458 units in November—surpassing the XEV 9e in total volume. However, the top-spec XEV 9e Pack 3 outperformed the Harrier EV's top Empowered variant, with 1,375 units versus 1,258. This highlights the XEV 9e's edge in premium appeal, despite the broader market shift toward more affordable EV options.

With huge discounts on offer for the XEV 9e—up to ₹3.8 lakh—the model could regain its top spot in December 2025, especially as year-end promotions kick in and inventory levels stabilize.

Future Outlook for Mahindra XEV 9e

Mahindra is set to bolster the XEV 9e's momentum with production ramps at its Chakan plant along with the newly launched XEV 9S, potential new OTA updates in Q1 2026, and the ongoing discounts to counter rivals like the Tata Harrier EV. Expect a rebound in December dispatches, driven by festive spillover and enhanced consumer offers.
